Where should I place my wheeled bin?

Collection rules for bins on public streets can vary by municipality or service partner. To ensure a smooth pickup, please follow these general guidelines:

  • Check your schedule: Consult the order overview in the Seenons app to confirm your collection days.
  • Placement: Position your bin at the designated collection point (usually the curb or roadside). Ensure it does not obstruct pedestrians or traffic. The bin must be clearly visible and located within 30 meters of where the collection vehicle parks.
  • Orientation: Place the bin with the wheels facing away from the street (toward the sidewalk). This allows the driver or mechanical arm to grab and replace it efficiently.
  • Access: Ensure there are no obstacles—such as parked cars, trees, or poles—blocking access. Clear access prevents delays and missed pickups.
  • Lid and contents: Ensure the lid is fully closed to prevent littering or scavenging. Only include materials permitted for that specific waste stream, as outlined in our waste guides.
  • Timing: Place your bin outside the evening before or on the morning of your scheduled collection. You can find the specific service window in the app under ‘View details.’

💡 Pro-tip: Help the driver by adding specific instructions or a description of the location in the app!
